Established on May 7, 2007, in the wake of the Greensburg, Kansas EF-5 tornado (on the evening of May 4, 2007), Scouts Helping Scouts is a Humanitarian Organization designed to keep Boy and Girl Scouting Values alive in ANY Community, regardless of the circumstances or disaster.

The Director of our Organization is Jeffrey A. "Yogi" Cook, Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 1900 in Kansas City, Missouri, located in the North Star District of the Heart of America Council.  Scouts Helping Scouts has a network of dedicated Scouters and Volunteers in 26 States that are devoted to making sure the Scouting Way of Life continues in those hard-hit communities.
